Phew! We made it through our first day of live Zoom lessons with flying colors. We did have a little bit of a hiccup with the new password requirement for some classes yesterday, but I think we are ready to go for today.
One issue that some students had with the school Chromebooks was that they couldn’t get their video to work. There is no one solution to this problem as it appears to be directly linked to the student account; however, Mr. Jamrog has a couple of things to try before contacting the helpdesk.
- Try going to https://www.vidyard.com/cam-test/ to test if your webcam and mic are working outside of the Zoom platform;
- Change permission: To do this go to the lock on the top left of the screen next to the URL then down to site settings and make sure the camera is set to allow;
- While in the Zoom meeting: Click the arrow next to “Start Video/Stop Video”; Select “Video Settings”; if you don’t see your camera’s video, click the drop-down menu and select another camera.
If you are still unable to get your video working, please email candia.helpdesk@sau15.net for assistance. Mr. Jamrog and I are checking the emails frequently and will work to get you up and running as quickly as possible. Please continue to reach out to Ms. Wing with any feedback that you have; it is greatly appreciated.
