All students entering grades K–8 are invited to join the Henry Moore School Library Summer Reading Challenge! For every 100 minutes of reading, students will earn fun prizes like bookmarks, pencils, stickers, and coupons for ice cream thanks to McDonald’s Restaurants of New Hampshire!

Any students who read 500 minutes or more will be entered into a special raffle:

🎬 30 Students entering Grades K–3 will enjoy a movie party in the Library! Students will have a full theater experience with popcorn, beverage and a sweet treat. This event will take place after lunch on Friday, September 19, 2025.

• Copies of the reading log were sent home with current students, so be sure to check your child’s folder or backpack.

📖 30 Students entering Grades 4–8 will receive tickets to the NH Book Festival where they will attened a performance featuring Tui Sutherland, author of the popular graphic novel series, Wings of Fire.This special field trip will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025 during school hours. Transportation will be provided.

• If you have a student entering grades 4-5 in September check their folder or backpack as copies of the reading log were sent home.
• If you have a student entering grades 7-8, they were offered paper copies of the reading log, but not everyone opted to take one.

Worried that 500 minutes sounds like a lot? Don’t be! That’s just 20 minutes a day for 25 days—or  just 7 minutes a day for the whole summer!

The challenge runs from Wednesday, June 18 to Wednesday, August 27.
