Read Across America: February 29th – March 4th

Theme days:

Hat day

Dress in Red and White in Honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday

Wacky Outfit

Colorful Socks

Pajama Day (Appropriate PJ day dress includes: Long PJ pants, Long sleeve PJ tops, robes, lounging pants, or sweatshirts. Appropriate footwear is required. NO slippers allowed.)

Photo booth during lunch: Students will have an opportunity to “become” “Cat in the Hat” and “Thing 1 & 2” when they enter the Read Across America Photo Booth.

March Madness Seuss Style: Students will have a chance to vote for their favorite Dr. Seuss book each day until the grand winner is announced on Friday.

Cookies & Milk Story Night: Wednesday, 3/2 6:30-8 pm. The staff will act out stories for students and families.

We Read Too! Can You Guess Who?: Students will have the try to guess who the mystery readers pictured are.

Reunion Reading Grades K-5: An opportunity to visit with your teacher from last year & enjoy a story!

Daily Reading Survey: Students will have an opportunity to weigh in on such things as their favorite… place to read, time to read, person to read with, type of book, etc…

Author/Illustrator Visit: Ryan T. Higgins will meet with students in grades K-4 on Tues., March 1st in the library.
